My name is Lexi Lewis and I am a student working towards Marketing and Italian Studies majors with a minor in Graphic Design. I was born and raised in the Midwest but I am passionate about providing global and creative perspectives.
My passion for global thinking began before college where I studied at an International School. My old school is what inspired me to pursue another language apart from the two I could already speak, Spanish and French. During the summer of 2016 I studied abroad in Italy where I took an intense immersive Italian course. This trip was what inspired me to continue my studies in Italian as more than just a language elective.
Today I am now working towards a major and large part of completing this degree means going on a second study abroad trip to Italy. This winter I will discover the food, fashion and furniture in Italy through a program that combines the business school and the Italian department. I look forward to seeing how these consumer based markets in Italy shape my perspective on marketing.
I always knew that I wanted to study business and because of my sociable and creative personality I thought that marketing was the perfect choice for me. Second semester sophomore year was when I first got a taste for what a marketing class was really like and I loved it. This past summer I had two internships that allowed me to explore different areas of marketing. I worked as a communications intern with the sponsors of a large company and as a graphic designer for promotional advertisements for a small start up company.
